Rhodes

Rhodes enjoys a great southern position and as such has one of the best climates of all the Greek islands; it is situated just ten miles from the coastline of Turkey. If you’re looking for a cosmopolitan island, a holiday in Rhodes would be a very good choice.

Rhodes is blessed with some fantastic beaches, ancient history and lively resorts. A visit to the Acropolis at Lindos is a must and is the islands most popular excursion. Most people on holiday in Rhodes have a visit to the capital, Rhodes Town. There is an excellent bus service on the island that stops at all the resorts – big or small. Rhodes Town has great shopping and lively nightlife as well as lots of historic attractions in the medieval old town. The old town is surrounded by walls and has a 14th century fortress at its heart.

Rhodes holidays have something for everyone, from sleepy traditional Greek villages to modern international resorts. For the more adventurous you can visit Marmaris in Turkey for the day by hydrofoil.
