As second largest city in Tunisia you will not be lost for things to do on your holiday in Sousse. The original town of Sousse has been a port since ancient times. The resort area of Sousse is intergrated into the main city, the beautiful beaches and calm sea have attracted many conquers over the years with Phoenicians, Romans, amd Arabs having settled and put their own stamp on the area.
There is a number of Museums for culture and heritage fans as well as a great Medina with colourful shops and stalls selling jewellery, blankets, carpets and copper statues. Sousse enjoys a lovely almost white sand beach that shelves gently into the Med, it is backed by a modern promenade that stretches all the way to nearby Port El Kantoui and has a wealth of cafes and restaurants all the way along it. On Sousse beach you will find many water sports including jet skis, windsurfing and paragliding.
Local attractions include an ancient fort, a mosque and the Medina which is set just below the fort. There are two covered shopping centres called Tej Marhaba and Slim and they offer a range of shops and restaurants with fixed prices. Sousse holidays offer a great range of facilities from water sports to golf, camel riding to desert safaris.
